Abbie

Abbie has been hobbling around lately.  I decided to take her into the vet for a check.  It has been a little over a year and a half since she had TPLO (knee replacement) surgery and she has been limping on that particular leg.  Good news is...no second surgery, the knee seems to be holding.  Unfortuately she is suffering from arthritis.  I guess she is just getting older.  I can't believe that in May, Abbie will be 9!

Roxanne

I took Roxanne to the vet yesterday.  She has ear infections in both ears!  We had to have a culture done and will know the extent of the infection by Friday.  Fingers crossed.  There is a possibility that she could have an antibiotic resistant infection.  Which would have some implications on our possible future moves.  Hope I have good news to report on Friday!

GAC

I was in DC to do a little work.  I was sent to the Governmental Affairs Conference.  It is a conference for credit unions across the US to come together and learn about different bills that effect credit unions.  The conference culminates with "hike the hill", where we meet with the different Senators and Congressmen that represent our districts.  As a bonus for this little trip, I even got to see some old friends friends from our old squadron in Abilene.  OK.  Brace yourself, picture overload.  (Do you expect anything less from me?)

I am in D.C. for the GAC conference for my credit union.  I have had a little bit of time to check out the town and do a little sight seeing before the "official" start of the conference.  I took a ton of pictures. So, don't say I didn't warn you...picture overload below!

Future Picasso

I went to the latest Squadron Spouse get together...at the Pink Picasso!  I have been dieing to try this place out.  The group has to agree on the painting that everyone will paint (from about 10 options) and we did the Pensacola Beach ball water tower.  It was as awesome as I thought it would be.  It has been a while since I have been able to attend a wives group meeting, so I really needed this.  I honestly can't wait to go back and paint the next canvas!  Now sit back and enjoy the parade of pictures.

Trying Something New

I am trying something new these days...dry shampoo.  It is supposed to be healthier for your hair.  I am going on day three and so far so good.  I have not yet tried this out on personal trainer days, and quite frankly I don't know if I am that adventurous yet.  So question: Do you ever use dry shampoo?  If so, what brand?
